The Fountain of Life

One of my stamping goals this year is to make more cards with Scripture verses.  To that end, I printed out a page of digi verses the other day from Word Art Wednesday, along with some of my Heather Ellis and Whimsy and Stars digis.  Now I'm ready to create! : )  For today's card, I followed the weekly sketch from My Favorite Things and used the Color Throwdown colors.  I love that verse from Word Art Wednesday.  I'm so thrilled that Christ gives us the water of Life!!  And that it isn't just a sprinkle from a watering can, but an overflowing fountain...  More like this!!

He overflows into me, and I overflow into others.  That's my prayer this year!!

Blessings!

Flourishes Tuesday

It must be Flourishes day today on my blog, cuz I have two card to show you! : )

First, the Flourishes gals are having a Berry Sweet Birthday Bash for Jan using this picture as the inspiration...

I wanted to play along, so here's my card. using flowers, scalloped trim, and some of the same colors...

I plan to send it on its way to Florida tomorrow!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Botanical Bookplates, Summer Blossoms (Flourishes)
Dies:  Well Worn Greetings, Open Scallop Border (MFT), Large Oval (SB)
Accessories:  Copics, Sewing Machine, Organdy Ribbon, Swiss Dots EF, Rhinestones colored with Copic Marker, Pop Dots, Sahara Sand Marker (SU)

My next card is just a little one.  The Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge was
Glitter and Shine, and since glitter and I don't agree much anymore (I seem to get it up my nose, in my eyes, and all over everything!), I decided to use some rhinestones as flower centers and some spica pen for my "shine". :)

Maybe you can see the spica pen better here...

Or here??
OK... so just trust me.  It's there. : )

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I'm going to hunker down with a snack and some coffee now and watch the snow which is supposed to start shortly!! : )

Blessings!

3x3 Note Cards

I've had so much fun playing along with the LoveFest challenges on Splitcoast!  This little set of 3x3 notecards is for a challenge sponsored by Taylored Expressions.  They have adorable stamps... but I don't have any yet, so I pulled out an old favorite - Violet Cupcake - by Lockhart Stamps, and paired it with a trio of retired sentiments by The Angel Company.  I love how the tiny cards don't have to be fancy to still be adorable!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Fancy Fold Gift Card Holder

One of the LoveFest Challenges over on SplitCoast Stampers is to make a card with lots of folds.  I wasn't sure what to make, but I knew I wanted to combine it with the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to use red, so I pulled out some papers from My Mind's Eye and a card base that I had and went to work.

The first thing on the fold challenge was that it wasn't supposed to be a normal A2 card, so I decided to cut my card base down to 4x4.  Then I had this fun narrow folded piece left and an idea for a gift card holder came! : )  Let me see if I can show you all the parts in the pictures...

Here is the front...

MME Here and There; Fishtail Flags Dies, All Occasion Sentiments (MFT)

Which opens up to this...

MME paper, Upsy Daisy and Flower Trio DieNamics, TagLines (Flourishes)

Which opens up to this!  Isn't that Joann's gift card perfect with this paper??

MME paper, Joann's Gift Card, Botanical Bookplates (Flourishes)

Here's a closer look.  Can you see how the narrow folded piece became the pocket for the gift card??

And here's a picture of all the layers...

 Thanks for stopping by!!

My Friend

My second card for today combines three different challenges...
Color Throwdown - Choc. Chip, White, Blushing Bride, Olive
There She Goes - Flowers

I didn't even realize that this set was in the house until my dd made me a valentine with it this morning. : )  It's her set, but she said I could use it.  It's nice to have a dd that stamps!

Thanks for stopping by!

I Heart You

Here's my card for this week's challenge at Flourishes... to make a card with a Heart element.  I used Flourishes' Summer Blossoms and Inside and Out You sets and combined a number of scraps I found on my desk to make a quick Valentine's Day card for my daughter.

Tulips

I inked up the beautiful tulip bucket stamp from Flourishes April Showers for my card today for the Flourishes Pick 1 Challenge.  I masked off the bucket after I stamped it and added some more tulips below it.  Using the tulip trio, I stamped a background on half of the cream layer and used my swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the other half.  The sentiment (from Botanical Bookplates) was stamped in Soft Suede ink.  Check out the challenge for yourself, the prize is the entire February release!

Flourishes Color Throwdown

My second card today uses the Roses are Red and Mix N Mugs sets from Flourishes.  The layout is this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Sketch and the colors are from Color Throwdown.

Craft's Meow February Sketch

I inked up an older stamp today - from a TAC set actually!  But it just happens to have been re-released at The Craft's Meow with some other sweet images, so it was a perfect fit for this month's sketch.  I paper pieced the little girl with some DP from a 6x6 pack of MME paper and added a little shading with copics.  The sentiment is from Verve.

Thanks for stopping by today!

A Smile as your Umbrella

Do you ever get brain block when your stamping area is a disaster??  I had to spend awhile cleaning up before I could even concentrate to make a card!!  I saw these sweet umbrellas from the Flourishes April Showers set and they seemed perfect for making a CAS card for this week's Try Stampin on Tuesday sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!
