Case-ing Silke

Hello friends!

Today I have a card that CASE's Silke's style for the Flourishes Designer Spotlight.  Silke loves to use doilies, but I didn't have any, so I made a "faux doily" with a few different circle dies.   Here is my card...

and here is the card I was CASE-ing...

Thanks for the inspiration, Silke!! : )

A Thankful Duo

I'm making a lot of thank you cards these days and I'm still happy with my Factory Green card bases.   I love that color!! : )  Here are a couple that I worked on today...

The first card follows the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge on Karen's blog.  I used the flower from Verve's New Mercies set and the sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases set.

The second card took FOREVER to come together, but I really like it.  I used the first Viva La Verve sketch for July and pulled out a couple of my oldest Verve sets - Floral Symphony and Circular Sayings. The leaves are from the coffee set "Better with You". The sentiment is cut out with a tag dienamics from Blueprints 1.

Viva La Verve - June

I think it's been a year or more since I did all the Viva La Verve sketches in a month, but I needed to spend some time in the basement today because it is SO hot in my house, so I decided to work on this month's sketches.  FUN!  I used MFT's Factory Green for my card bases and stuck with a few pieces of dp and a sheet of rosy red that I found in my stash.  It was fun!  All stamps are Verve...

MFT Wednesday Sketch Club

Here's my card for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used the Pretty Poppies, Cheerful Blessings, Distressed Backgrounds, and Notched Tag sets, and dienamics from Blueprints 1 and 3 as well as the Heirloom label die.  I REALLY could use the Poppy dies as well!! The buttons and cardstock is from MFT as well...  Bubblegum, Sour Apple, Kraft and Whip Cream cardstock, and Bubblegum and Natural buttons.

I hope you'll play along!!

Mini Cards

It was mini card day!  I keep running out of 3x3 cards to send along with my GraceWorks orders!!   First a set for a challenge at Stamp TV to make two cards - one in black and white and one in color...

Then I simply took the next piece of cardstock that was big enough to make a 3x6 card base.  It happened to be teal...

The one with the verse was just a "use up the rest of the paper" card, but the Thank You card also fits the theme at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - "Make a splash".  I think an umbrella has something to do with water!! : )

A Beautiful Day

Wow!  Has it really been over a week since I posted???  I guess I've been busy!  My card today uses Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #106 and is filled with MFT goodies... Peaceful Wildflowers, Graduated Dots Stencil, PI Sunflower Girl Sentiments, and even a little Notched Tag Die-Namics butterfly... well, sort of.  The actual die was lost on my messy desk, so i found a negative of the die and traced it onto a piece of cardstock and cut it out.  Necessity is the mother of invention!! :)

Thanks for stopping in today!!

Verve Diva Dare

My second post today!  WOW!! :)  After I made the MFT card in the last post, I wanted to  just make a fun, simple card.  It probably doesn't follow any of the rules... cuz I know that 6 brads is not an odd number of embellishments, but maybe my banner counts for one too and then I'm good. :)  I pulled out and older set by Verve that I haven't used for awhile -- in fact I haven't used ANY of my Verve sets for awhile...  I haven't even been doing the sketches!  Shame on me!  But I digress...

Here's my simple Diva Dare card, with coloring but no mixed media or kraft...

Searching for Joy

Hello friends!

I had a few challenges in mind when I made my card for today.  First, I wanted to use this sweet Whimsy and Stars digi that you can get free for subscribing to the new Whimsy and Stars blog.  I just love Mabelle's images, don't you??

I also wanted to play along with the CAS-ual Friday challenge of Banners & Flags, the Color Throwdown challenge, and Crazy4Challenges "Summer Inspiration".

My wonderful sentiment is from MFT's Cheerful Blessings set.  It's one of my very favorites!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

DS104 - Hay There!

Today's card was (de)constructed from this week's Deconstructed Sketch.  Why is it that I can't follow a sketch exactly???  I pulled out my Pure Innocence Farmer Girl set and had some fun paper piecing her overalls - taking a cue from the fun MFT Academy post a week or so ago.  The fence is the new-last-month Farm Fence die.  I tried to mimic a barn by adding some score lines to the kraft cardstock.  Does it work??  Here's another angle...

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Your comments always make my day!!

Supplies from the MFT Shoppe:
Stamps: Pure Innocence Farmer Girl
DieNamics:  Farm Fence, Fishtail Flag Layers
Cardstock:  Kraft, Sour Apple, Whip Cream

Have you been following the MFT Teasers this week?  WOW!  What a lot of goodies!!  I haven't even headed over there yet this morning.  I need to get something done first before I settle in to hop!! : )

A Few MFT Notes

Good morning, friends!

I just realized that I have a couple of cards that never got posted here!

The first card was for last week's MFT Sketch Challenge and uses the LJD set "Peaceful Wildflowers" and the Wildflower, Notched Tag and Wonky Scallop Border DieNamics.

The second card used last week's Freshly Made Sketch and the "Happy Hello" and Blueprints 1 DieNamics.

Did you know that the MFT teasers started today??  Oh, they are WONDERFUL!  Be sure to stop by the blog and check them out!!
