Thanks for dropping in today!

{Simply Stamping} Falling for You

I just love the colors of fall, don't you??  Today I played with the leaves from the JustRite Fall Applique set, coloring them with my Spectrum Noir markers in pretty, deep colors.  Then I used my Distress Markers to add some detail.... plaids and dots.  It makes them look paper pieced!

I stamped the orange base with the Stitched Circles Background, then added some texture with the Celebrations Pierced Rectangle dies.  The sentiment is stamped on a diecut Vintage Tag that was sponged with Honey Mustard and Orange inks.

Here's my Stamp Simply shopping list for this week...

{Gina K Stamp TV Kit} Many Thanks

Just a little bit of pretty this morning using stamps from Gina K's The Simple Life Stamp TV Kit.  I played a little with my liquid pearls to add a touch of glamour along with the gold cord and deep colors.  The piercing was done with Spellbinders Pierced Rectangle Dies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Happy Stamping!

{Gina K Designs} Grateful Heart

Good morning!  I had so much fun making up a set of cards with last fall's Stamp TV Kit Grateful Heart for a feature over in the Stamp TV group.  I challenged myself to NO coloring and NO embellishments, but I still wanted them to be classy.  Here's the group I came up with...

Here's my favorite of the bunch, using the Grateful Heart paper and the Autumn Blessings and You're My Favorite sets...

I used  Gina K Color Companions Inks in Warm Cocoa, Dark Chocolate, Faded Brick and Honey Mustard, and used circle punches for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit us over at Stamp TV if you'd like all the details on the cards!

{Stamp Simply} A Shield About Me

I have a whimsical card today that mixes fun paper from the Summer Breeze paper pad with some more elegant elements... roses, gold cord and sparkly sequins.  I am feeling especially grateful to the Lord right now, as we were waiting for some cancer test results for our little dog and they all came through negative.  What a relief!

I layered three patterns of paper for my background, then stamped and diecut the sentiment.  I added ribbon and cord, then a couple of blue roses to pull out the blue of the flowers in the background.  I liked the pearls around the frame, and the sequins might not be necessary, but I was in a festive mood and they seemed to fit! :)

{TCP Sketch Challenge} Be Grateful

I'm sneaking under the wire this afternoon with a card for the sketch challenge over at The Cat's Pajamas.  I had every intention of making a card with the cute bunny in the bowl of ice cream, but I was drawn instead to the gorgeous Simple Blooms set.  I started by diecutting a notebook sheet, then I sponged the edges with GKD Sweet Corn, Honey Mustard and Warm Cocoa ink.  I stamped a spray of flowers in Warm Cocoa Ink and then I stamped the sentiment in Honey Mustard.  I wanted to highlight the words Be grateful - something I need to remind myself hourly (actually more often than that, but I don't think there is a word like minute-ly...) - so I stamped the sentiment again in Warm Cocoa ink, cut out Be grateful, and then used thin pop dots to attach it over the matching words.  I used an old - OLD - stamp from SU for the speckles.

The background is cut out with Spellbinders Pierced Rectangle Dies, and then embossed with a Paper Studio Woodgrain embossing folder.  I swiped a little ink over it to make the embossing stand out more.  The strip of Warm Cocoa cardstock is stamped with another of the flower stamps in the set.  I added some gold cord and a button to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sunflower Songbird

I pulled out my Stitched Sunflower set to play with this afternoon and stamped the smaller sunflower twice on ivory cardstock and then once on brown.  I colored the sunflower(s) and leaves and then fussy cut the layers, which I put together using 3d Foam in different thicknesses.  Before I put my sunflower away I stamped a background on my brown cardstock, and then used the brown ink to stamp my greeting.  The pretty new Pierced Square dies by Spellbinders made a nice background for my focal image, and I added some color with a strip of paper from the Kaisercraft Pickled Pear pad.  The seam binding and bird paper clip finished it up!

Here's my Stamp Simply ingredient list...

Thanks so much for stopping by on this day of remembrance.

Blessings,

Tricia

Bricks and Leaves

I have a pretty, but easy, card to share today that I made with stamps and supplies from the new Stamp TV Kit The Simple Things available now at Gina K Designs, and that fits in perfectly with the Lovely Leaves challenge at the Curtain Call!  I stamped the brick wall from the Bounty of Blessings set in three different Gina K ink colors: Sweet Corn, Sweet Mango and Tomato Soup and then stamped four leaves overtop in Dark Chocolate Ink.

The sentiment, from the The Simple Things set, is stamped in Black Onyx ink and embossed onto a piece of vellum.  I used some of the ribbon and cardstock included in the kit and added a button from my stash, tied with a piece of gold cord, which you can get FREE with a $25 Gina K order this month!  The piercing was added with a Pierced Rectangle Spellbinders Die that I picked up at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Here's a picture of the kit contents.  If you haven't gotten one before, let me HIGHLY recommend them.  They are WONDERFUL!!  It is so fun to get a box of stamps, paper, and accessories that all match in the mail, plus there is tons of inspiration available over on Stamp TV!

OK, that's all for me right now!  Have a wonderful day!

{Stamp Simply} Lady Bird Birthday

Hello everyone!  I have a fun new product on my Stamp Simply card today... Pierced Dies from Spellbinders.  LOVE them.  They are stacking dies, so the piercing comes separately from the outside edge, which means there are only about 3 actual sizes in each classic shape, but that works for me.  I love the pierced look so I don't always feel impelled to stitch on my cards. : )  I bought them in all the Classic shapes (square, circle, rectangle and oval) so you'll be seeing a lot of them here.  Run over to Stamp Simply and place your order!! :)

I was playing with my Prima Lady Bird paper pack on this card... using a few of the patterns and one of the little tags that are included in the pad.  I stamped a birthday greeting from JustRite Applique Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags and used lots and lots of different embellishments. -- silk ribbon, pompom trim (which I attached with 1/8" scor-tape), more silk ribbon, enamel dots and a little rose -- to finish it.

Here's my shopping list.  Don't forget to pick up some of the Pierced Dies!! : )  (Just being helpful...  LOL!)

{Gina K Designs} The Simple Things Stamp TV Kit and Always Autumn

The Cast and Crew of Gina K Designs welcome you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina and the Cast and Crew will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! As you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will be choosing a few comments to win a wonderful Grab Bag of fabulous Gina K goodies.  To see the winner announcement, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.

So did you have fun looking at all the cards on the hop yesterday?  I think Autumn cards are some of my very favorites... although I'd really love a winter set that had that cute fox with a scarf on!!

You saw the fox in  The Simple Things Stamp TV kit, right???  Here's a card I posted during the release party...

I just LOVE him!  I stamped him on a Vintage Cuts Pointed Oval stamped with the coordinating frame, then masked him off and stamped the little branch behind him before I colored it all in.  The paper and sentiment are also from the kit.  The only thing I added was the Vintage Cuts border!

Here's another card with the kit...

This time I used the brick block stamp to add texture to a layer.  It is stamped in Faded Brick ink onto Tomato Soup cardstock.  The little buttons are tied with some of the Free With $25.00 gold cord, but, if I were you, I would get a whole spool of it.  I love this stuff!!

Next up is Theresa's new set Always Autumn.  The card I shared during the release party used no patterned paper and lots of coloring with my Spectrum Noir markers...

Prickly Pear, Dark Chocolate, Gold Cord, Dark Chocolate Buttons, Vintage Cuts borders, gingham ribbon...  All the little things can make a card come together so easily!

For my second card with Theresa's set I used more of the Garden Tour paper that was free with a $50 purchase last month and is now available to buy.  I fell in love with this pretty pattern and wanted to show you that the  Always Autumn set doesn't have to always be used for Autumn cards! :)

(BTW, the piercing around the circle is done with some new pierced Spellbinder dies.  I love the look, so I got them in all the classic shapes so I don't have to do as much stitching on my cards!! :)  LOL)
For this card I stamped the flower first, colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out.  Then I popped it up on a diecut and embossed circle on which I had stamped the Many Thanks greeting that I had curved on the block.  The burlap and gingham ribbon, as well as the Cranberry paper, are all from the Stamp TV kit.

OK, just one more!
This one features this month's Free with $75.00 stamp duo - Love You More.

I played with my new pierced dies again, this time the square ones, and kept my color combination very classic - kraft, dark chocolate, ivory and fresh asparagus.  I stamped the border twice on my ivory layer and matted it on dark chocolate.  After attaching it to my card base, I added a Fresh Asparagus Vintage Cuts border, and then hand cut a little banner for the sentiment.  My card is 4.25" square - the perfect size to still fit in an A2 envelope! :)

WHEW!  That was a lot! : )  Thanks so much for stopping by!

{Gina K Designs} The Simple Things Stamp TV Kit and Fabulous Frame Fillers

The Cast and Crew of Gina K Designs welcome you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina and the Cast and Crew will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! As you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will be choosing a few comments to win a wonderful Grab Bag of fabulous Gina K goodies.  To see the winner announcement, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.

My first card today uses the gorgeous frame from the new The Simple Things Stamp TV kit.  This kit is filled with so many fun things, like the pretty Vintage Cut that I stamped my frame on, and the gorgeous ribbon.  The designer paper is from the Autumn Landscape paper pack that you get FREE with a $50 order.  I stamped in GKD Charcoal Brown ink, and added a few Dark Chocolate Buttons for some extra pizzazz.

My second card uses elements from Melanie's new Fabulous Frame Fillers, as well as from The Simple Things Stamp TV kit, and Melanie's original Fabulous Frame.  I stamped in Honey Mustard and In the Navy.

    TIP:
I wanted some dry embossing in only the bottom section of the frame, so I laid my ivory cardstock on my large dot embossing folder and used a dry embossing stylus to add the embossing.  I had stamped my frame on layering weight ivory and colored with a matching Spectrum Noir marker, so I could see the section I wanted to stay in from the back of the cardstock.  I was hoping to use my swiss dot folder to do the top section the same way, but I couldn't find it on my desk.  LOL!  Maybe next time! : )

My final card is an extra...  It uses last month's FREE with $50 paper - Garden Tour and an older Duo stamp set called My Most Favorite.  The Garden Tour paper pack is now available for sale, so if you didn't get any last month you'll want to pick up a pack.  It is SO pretty!

Anyway, I wanted to make a fun card to send to my daughter in college, and this was a fun and EASY design.  And look!  I actually DID use a stamp from The Simple Things Stamp TV kit!  The brick wall makes a fabulous shadow behind all sorts of things, from sentiments to silhouettes, and it can go from whimsical to elegant easily, like on this card I showed at the release party.

Thanks SO much for stopping in to see me today!  Remember that all of the new products are available NOW at Gina K Designs!  Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team for more inspiration with the new sets, and leave lots of love.  Here's the info and the list ...
