{TCP Tuesday} Constellation Prize

Oooo - too fun!  The Ways to Use It challenge at Splitcoast has a theme of Space, and this Constellation Prize stamp set was PERFECT!! : )  Plus it means I can enter the Summer Blog Hop again, along with TCP Tuesday!!  WooHoo!!

I watercolored my background and image, then added some colored pencil highlights to my main image before cut it out.  A little foam tape and some pearls along with a sentiment and VOILA!  A Spacey card. : )

Thanks for looking!

{Stamp Simply} Apple Pie and Cheese

I found this fun card in the Graphic 45 Home Sweet Home Ephemera pack and thought it would be a great sentiment, so I trimmed it down and attached it to a mat that I had made a few weeks ago and ended up not using.  When I saw the Homespun die set in my box, I knew it was the perfect addition to the card.  I cut out the pie and the curtains and sponged them, then attached them to the card with 3D Foam.  The pie looked a little lonely, so I added some "steam" to it by using the butterfly flight path from the Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags set.  I love how homey it looks.  Perhaps I need to go bake a pie??? :)

Here's my shopping list...

Thanks for dropping in!

{TCP Tuesday} Around the World

Hi everyone!  Are you all going to join in with the Summer Blog Hop over on the Cat's Pajamas blog?  Just use any TCP image and link up your card - and you can enter it in this week's TCP Tuesday challenge, too!!

For my "Around the World In 80 Days" inspired card I inked up the Drop In set with some Archival black ink and watercolored my image.  I added a wonky base panel to give the illusion that the balloon was rising, and used a few stitched clouds to complete the effect.  My sentiment is from the In Shape set.  So cute!

{Stamp Simply} Peaceful Joy

Merry Christmas in July!

We're celebrating Christmas all week this week over on the Stamp Simply blog, so I made a card combining elements from three different JustRite sets for the occasion.  I started by cutting a circle with the Pierced Circle dies, and, while the paper was still in the die, I sponged a wintery sky.  I stamped my sentiment from the Great Joy set in black ink and then added some shimmer to the star and the snow with a Stardust pen. A silver Wink of Stella would have worked wonderfully, too!  I stamped and cut out a deer from the Grand Christmas Sentiments set and set it aside until I finished my background.  To make my background I stamped the snowflake from the Gift of Faith Sentiments set in versamark ink and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  Then I decided where I wanted my main circle and sponged my background so they would line up.  I attached my sentiment circle with 3D foam - the thicker ones - and then added the deer with the thinner 3D foam squares.  LOVE that they come in two thicknesses!

Here's my Stamp Simply shopping list for this week!

Have a happy Christmas in July!

{Stamp Simply} Joy to the World

Good morning, friends!

Are you ready for a little Christmas in July?  The card I have to share today uses the new JustRite set Gift of Faith Sentiments.  I used the snowflake image and stamped it in three different colors of green around my sentiment.  The centers of the snowflakes made perfect spots for some rhinestone "berries" and I added a grosgrain bow to finish it off.  Clean and simple!

Here's my Stamp Simply shopping list!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

{TCP Tuesday} Shoot for the Moon

Hi everyone!

I have a fun card to share today using the newest TCP Tuesday challenge sketch.  Isn't this image from the Constellation Prize set adorable??  I love the penguin diving into the cloud! :)  This card is especially perfect for my daughter right now.  She has entered an artist bear competition online that is won by popular vote.  Here are the bear and puppy that she made and entered...

If you feel like voting for her and/or passing the word along, I know she would be thrilled!

You have to scroll to the bottom of the page and click Category 9 to find her bear.  Then on the bottom of Category 9's page, click the VOTE link.  The actual voting will be on the next page.

Thanks!! : )

{Stamp Simply} Meow Mojo

Hi everyone!

I have a fun card to share today using JustRite's Pet Sympathy and Furry Friends sets from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  It is my understanding that JustRite has closed its doors, so be sure to snag these aDORable sets while they are still in stock at Stamp Simply!!!

I wanted to find some paper that would set off the image and look kitty-ish, and I settled on this Home Sweet Home paper by Graphic 45.  There isn't a cat I know that can resist a warm quilt!  I used the Mojo Monday sketch for the layout, so I took one of the papers that had lots of word strips on it and trimmed out one that was appropriate for the kitty-corner (haha!) element.  I colored my kitty with Spectrum Noir pencils and gave him a ball of twine to play with, attached to his very own fish. : )  Happy kitty!

{Stamp Simply} Miss You

Hello everyone!

Are you all ready to celebrate Independence Day?  Our little town has a 4 day festival complete with a parade, a carnival and fireworks... with lots of other fun things thrown in.  I'm looking forward to walking to it a number of times this weekend!

The card I have to share today is made with a bit of a Patriotic set and a bit of a fall set.  The "miss you" just seemed an appropriate sentiment for all of the soldiers that are out protecting our freedoms.

By the way, if you are like my daughter and wondering what ECLARAT means on the banner on the card... That paper is the D ECLARAT ion of Independence.  I apparently wasn't thinking about readability when I cut it!!  LOL!!

Here are the supplies I used today...

{TCP} Flying By

Don't you just love that bunny???  What a fun new set from The Cat's Pajamas!  I used some MME My Girl paper to give the look of going up in the sky and added a couple of  stitched clouds from the dies you can get free right now with a $65 purchase.  SO cool to get STITCHED dies for free!!  I love stitched dies!!  I embossed the back panel and swiped it with white pigment ink to look even more cloudy. : )  The sentiment is from the "Flying By" set - another favorite.  I love the bright balloon...  it reminds me of the colors of the flowers in the TCP Tues inspiration picture!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
